You need not be a member of our NCC-TU Chapter or Trout Unlimited to receive Riffles. Riffles is published six months each year in October, November, and January through April. Items received by the 15th of the month can be published in the next issue. Contributions in the form of articles, fishing news, fly tying tips, book or video reviews, digital photos, and letters are welcome. Beginning January 2001, we converted Riffles from a printed document sent to members by regular mail to an electronic publication delivered by email and also available here, on our Chapter web site. When a new Riffles is published, you will be sent the newsletter via email. In addition, the new issue is posted on this web site. From the web site, so you can use your browser to view, print, or save the newsletter. A web newsletter Archive gives you ready access to back electronic issues. Publishing Riffles electronically means more money for contributions to worthy causes like the TU Summer Conservation Camp, the Trout Unlimited Coldwater Conservation Fund, Beaver Creek watershed restoration, and Project Healing Waters -- four recent beneficiaries of chapter funding. In addition to saving money, the electronic version of the newsletter reduces the time required to produce it and get it to you, and gives us greater flexibility to use photos, graphics, and color to make Riffles even more interesting. |
