| Visitors are welcome to join members at Chapter Meetings with featured speakers held on the second Wednesday of the month during October, November, January, February, April, and May. We usually have no meetings in December, March, and June - September (NB: a special September meeting has been scheduled in 2007.). For our full speaker's schedule, click here. Place: Chapter meetings are held at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Services Center, 4805 Edgmoor Lane, downtown Bethesda, MD (right behind the Bethesda Metro station). Public parking at 75 cents per hour is available in the County parking garage below the building. You will find directions and map below. Time: Social hour begins at 7:15 p.m., followed by a brief business meeting and a speaker program starting at 8:00 p.m. In addition, books and clothing sales and video rentals are available. Dine with our speaker: Members and visitors are invited to join our speaker and members of the Board of Directors for dinner prior to the meeting at McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant, 7401 Woodmont Avenue (Woodmont Avenue at Montgomery Avenue, just down the street from our chapter meeting location) in Bethesda, MD. We meet at the restaurant at 5:30 p.m. If you plan to attend the dinner, please call George Gaines at 301-435-3447, or contact him by email to reserve a place. The Bethesda-Chevy Chase (B-CC) Services Center is a Montgomery County facility at 4805 Edgemoor Lane in downtown Bethesda.  The Center is above the underground County parking garage directly behind the Bethesda Metro station. It is just a few feet from the intersection of Old Georgetown Road and Edgemoor Lane. Parking is available in the County garage. If you park in the garage, take the elevators from the garage to the plaza level. In the center of the plaza (an open outdoor area) there is an entrance to the B-CC Services Center building, which is marked with Montgomery County and Maryland flags and a sign bearing the County seal. When entering the building from the plaza, take the elevator to the second floor, where the meeting rooms are located. The building entrance doors should be unlocked, however, if they are locked, use the wall buzzer button to gain admittance. See map above for entrances to the County public garage. If approaching the Center from the street level (parking elsewhere, etc.), enter at 4805 Edgemoor Lane (see Directions below and Map), and take elevator in lobby to the meeting rooms on the second floor. If the entrance doors are locked, use the wall buzzer button to gain entry. If taking Metro: take the Red Line to the Bethesda Station. At the top of the street level escalators (adjacent to Wisconsin Avenue), turn left, walk past the clock tower and Food Court (don’t go down stairs), and the pedestrian bridge will take you over the street to the plaza with an entrance to the B-CC Services Center building (see above).
