Last modified: March 22, 2010 The National Capital Chapter was a leader in the establishment of the TU Conservation & Fishing Camp for high school students conducted each summer at the Graves’ Mountain Lodge in Syria, VA, adjacent to the Shenandoah National Park. The exciting hands-on, weeklong Camp is a joint project of the TU state councils and local chapters of Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. The campers, both male and female, are provided an opportunity to become skilled and responsible anglers and experienced conservationists that understand and appreciate the value of our coldwater fisheries resources. ![]() In 2010, the Camp will be held from Sunday, June 27 to Friday, July 2, 2010. Apply soon; the camp fills up early. The fee for the six-day, five-night Camp is $650. The Camp seeks to provide partial and full scholarships to campers requesting them.
